I had the pleasure of doing the sound for Northern Rokk tonight at the Coniston in Idle and I have to say that I thought they were ace. Even though Rob was full of cold he sang great. Hitman Ian Barnes was as to be expected - solid as, Chris played some great geetar and Justin is defo a bass player's bass player. Highlight for me was Rio by Duran Duran
Nice to get such good feedback from Aarren via The Rock Of The North website and was very kind of hin to do sound for us.
A fantastic night was had by the gang and myself at The Pack Horse in Leeds (29/4/11). The guys from Northern Rokk were on fire playing what was a blistering set list of covers. They had the crowd singing and dancing all night, receiving constant applause. A big personal thanks to the guys for the Birthday mention and "Rio". Made my night.
Great feedback from one of our greatest supporters who has been coming to see us since we started. This was after our debut at The Pack Horse. We'll be back there before you know it.
'They could play, boy could they play. Drummer Pete locked them into a tidy rhythm plus he was quite a showman with his sticks, bassist Justin made his instrument talk, Chris the guitarist played some notes and had such a stretch on the neck of the guitar it made my other halfs jaw drop, and all this was topped off by cracking, strong and powerful vocal performance by Rob. The set list was a real mix, from AC/DC to Nina Simone, but all pulled off very tightly. All in all a band to catch if your around.'
Great feedback from Karon of rock covers band Broadband who left this review on the Rock Of The North website after our gig at The Branch in Shipley on 4th March 2011
'A great band, some very interesting songs mixed in with some great classics, all played brilliantly and went down really well.'

'It was the best gig you have played without a doubt. Rob - you are truely an excellent front man and I think very highly of you and the bands performances. As ever I was amazed at Chris's guitar skills - he is truely excellent'
This is an extract from a review that Sam left for us after only our third gig since forming. The gig was at The Travellers Rest, Shipley 19th December. For the full review visit www.myspace.com/northernrokk

'Hey just to say a massive thanks to Northern Rokk who played here at the Vic on the 30th jan. Thanks to them we had a packed pub, and a great night. They really got the crowd going! The lads played some great tracks, and I have not heard a crowd shout "Encore" so loud and for so long! They couldnt get enough of the lads! The Nina Simone Cover was fab! Thanks alot guys and see you again soon.'

'I was a bit unsure what to expect, but as Rob and the guys are picking up gigs very easily and quickly, I figured they must be worth going to see. I'm glad I made the trip because this bunch of lads have got some serious potential to become one of the best bands on the circuit. A wide range of covers, not the usual classic rock that a lot of bands turn out. Some less well known rock songs, but the huge crowd of people at the band end of the pub were dancing and bouncing, with me in the middle! A fabulous cover of Rio by Duran Duran was demanded to be encored by the dancing crowd'
This great feedback was posted on www.rockofthenorth.com by Keith Gater, experienced Bass player in Hooson, Broadband and The Jack Edwards Trio, after our gig at The New Inn, Baildon on 1st May 2010
